ABOUT AKCOMLIB-GH (Asuama Kyere Community Mobile Library Ghana)


The Queen Mother of Berekum-Kato, Nana Afia Siraa Ababio III, who also holds the title of Werempehemaa of the Berekum Traditional Area in the Berekum East Municipal of the Bono Region, is the visionary behind the Asuama Kyere Community Mobile Library Ghana (AKCOMLIB-GH). Founded in 2011, this mobile library was created to instill a love for reading among school-going children across the Berekum East Municipality and the entire Brong Ahafo Region.


Nana Afia Siraa Ababio III’s efforts have yielded significant results, encouraging children to read at least one book a week. This initiative not only promotes literacy but also celebrates our rich cultural heritage by introducing traditional games, storytelling, cooking, and various skills training programs.
