BRONG-AHAFO NASPA ELECTIONS: Voting Adjourned Following Petition from Asunafo North Organizer, Odame Akwasi Enock
The highly anticipated NASPA elections, scheduled to take place today in Techiman, Bono East Region, have been unexpectedly adjourned until further notice.
According to credible sources, the decision to halt the voting process was made following a formal petition filed earlier today by Odame Akwasi Enock, an organizer from the Asunafo North District in the Ahafo Region.

In his petition, Mr. Enock raised concerns about what he described as unfair treatment. He claims he was not given sufficient time to pick up regional nomination forms. Additionally, he is advocating for the NASPA elections to reflect Ghana’s current administrative structure by dividing the former Brong-Ahafo Region into its constitutionally recognized three separate regions: Bono, Ahafo, and Bono East.
Although the full contents of the petition have not yet been made public, it has raised significant concerns that prompted electoral authorities to pause the proceedings to assess and address the matter thoroughly.
Delegates from various districts had already gathered in Techiman and were prepared to cast their votes when the announcement of the suspension was made. The unexpected development left many participants disappointed and eager for clarity on the way forward.
